A key lesson to apply to pretty much every aspect of SEO, is not to get carried away when you find ideas that work. For example, just because quality is key, that doesn’t mean that you need to disavow every low quality link and only ever build links from the top sites. If you want to achieve a higher ranking on Google and other search engines, you’ll need to get serious about search engine optimization. Aside from offering users the best insights possible, high-quality content goes hand in hand with your backlink profile--a key element of SEO. The more links that you amass back to your website from other authoritative websites, the greater the likelihood is of improving the visibility your website receives in search engines. On powerful social media sites, the hyperlinks you include in your posts don’t get counted as a link that will help improve your backlink profile. Also, on a lot of websites, they’ll have what’s called a “no-follow” link. To prepare for voice search, you need to take a good look at your current content. Ask yourself, does it answer any question a user might have? If not, change it.
Optimize images with your key term
If you don’t know where to submit a guest blog post or what forums would be good to participate on, research where your competitors are going to get links and follow suit. f your site is linked to from other well ranking sites they consider your site to be important too. Don’t pay for links from other sites or do link exchanges as Google is wise to this and can penalise you for it. Instead give people a reason to write about you (competitions, great content people will want to share, brilliant offers, interesting news etc). It is useful to come up with a link building strategy that will help other sources discover your content and feature it if they find it relevant enough for their target audience – without losing sight of the need to create valuable content, of course. Google counts links from other websites as votes. So, when they’re presented with two (or more) pages on the same topic, the page with the most links (i.e. votes) will usually rank higher than the page(s) with fewer links. A backlink is basically someone else’s website linking to you. Obviously, pages with higher page rank that link back to you give more Google Juice.
So what is Google authorship?
Since Google only wants to deliver the best possible results to its users, it will push sites with strong engagement up in the search engine results pages (SERPs). In the search marketing field, the pages the engines return to fulfill a query are referred to as search engine results pages (SERPs). It’s generally accepted that using copyright notices and legal disclaimers can be seen as a positive sign by Google as these will make your website look more professional and more like a ‘real business’. Are internal links as valuable as external links? Whatever shows up in the search results box has been searched for before meaning these long tail keywords could be very valuable. But remember these just give you a starting point to work off, people have Googled some quirky things so don’t think just because something shows up that it will make a good long tail keyword. Google suggestions give you a great place to work from but shouldn’t always be taken at face value. Limit each paragraph to 2-3 sentences at most. It’s even okay to use one-sentence paragraphs if necessary, but use them sparingly or your post will look like a bullet-pointed blog without the bullets.
Links make the web go round.
According to SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "Today, queries don’t just return a list of ten blue, ordered links. They return
results with images, videos, profile pictures, and all manner of meta data
that help searchers choose the best result." A crawler is a Search Engine bot or a Search Engine spider that travels all around the web looking out for new pages ready to be indexed. In this scenario, the web can be considered as an entire country and the spiders/bots of Google stop at every destination to find the new places that have been developed in the country. Google will send people looking for information on a topic to the highest quality, relevant pages it has in its database. If your site is regularly updated it shows Google the site is still active, kept up to date and worth them directing people to. Having a news section or blog on your site is an easy way to do this. Much of the time, it makes sense for the search engines to deliver results from older sources that have stood the test of time. However, sometimes the response should be from newer sources of information
SEO for Reputation Management
If your online business isn’t taking advantage of all that SEO solutions offer, you’re bound to fall short of the competition. Spend some time looking at other websites within your niche, sites that perhaps are not performing well enough to claim the top spots in Google, and ask yourself - what are they missing? Why are these sites not ranking in search engines? A general rule of thumb: If you have links in a menu at the top of the page, avoid duplicating those same links on the bottom of every page. Linking to the same page in the footer creates a hole for the link juice to seep out. Search Engine Optimization should start with creating and uploading content. This can include a lot of things but the most basic piece of content that you will use is articles. The more people who read your blog post, the more authority Google will deem it to have. And the more authority a page has, the higher it is likely to rank. So – get your post out there! Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram – whatever social media channels you use, share it on them.
Boost Dwell Time
According to Google, natural links leading back to your site are definitely something to strive for. Google’s shifts and tweaks on ranking algorithms are happening more often. What you’ve learn from an SEO competitor analysis may no longer be true after a couple of months. Competitor analysis in SEO is great for getting valuable insights, but it won’t give you a remarkable boost unless you also provide unique value to your visitors. So keep an eye on your competitors, while constantly working on ways to improve UX on your site. Although word count doesn’t rule the SEO world – nobody will read your stuff if it’s not helpful to them. While search engine
bots are scanning websites for indexing
purposes, they also look for links to other
websites. The more high-quality inbound links
the website has, the greater its link authority. In
theory, every inbound link counts as a positive
recommendation for a website. However, it is
not the quantity of inbound links that plays the
biggest role for search engines; it’s quality. With website analytics, you can hone in on your audience, identifying things like their interests, demographics, language, locations and behaviors. Understanding these elements can help you improve your website content.
